a ROTTEN APPLE spoiled my BASKET of goodies

i was writing late last night after class, and realized as I was trying to upload that my PHOTOS are ALL GONE!??

has anybody experienced this with iPhoto before?

Im an APPLE user, and this is the 2nd time it has happened to me but the first time was the worst!

APPLE greenbelt Makati crashed my computer and would not retrieve my files for me. This one incident last night is a bit creepy cause nobody touched it! I just opened my PC to an empty photo ALBUM :(

I had over 25,000 photos!

Im so sad, paano to? Most of my topics stem from those photos!

Im heading to computer shops today on a mission. Please guys pray that I find someone, and some ONE that wont try to rip me off for a glitch in this system.

Will keep you guys updated and will write again once I get those memories back!

God bless you all

Oh no! =( That happened to me when my old lappy crashed. All I have as a backup was the pictures I posted on my Multiply. It’s really important to back up files/photos on a portable hard drive. Otherwise memories will be lost forever. Hope you’re able to recover your photos Jackie.

Hello. Just came across your site. You have a lovely website theme. :)

Before you spend any money at a shop, go to the Craig’s List main page and head for the “Discussion Forums” section. “Apple” is the second one listed in that section. Post your issue/problem and some Apple maven will get back to you. I found them to respond faster than the Apple experts over at the Apple site and just as knowledgeable. They’ve answered many questions for yours truly for my Mac computer. Good luck.

Hi. Came across your entry. Are you still in Manila?

Based on your post, it seems as if your drive might have crashed. If you’re still in Manila, kindly look up http://www. They’ve recoverd many of my photographer-friends’ pics from crashed hard drives.

    Good luck.

yes I have tried calling them but I was afraid they were asking me to mail the hard disk with some sort of waiver. and they are all the way in WEst Ave or some place in QC.. I shall try calling again. Thanks for the advice though thats kind of you!

I truly believe that we have reached the point where technology has become one with our lives, and I am fairly confident when I say that we have passed the point of no return in our relationship with technology.

I don’t mean this in a bad way, of course! Societal concerns aside… I just hope that as technology further advances, the possibility of copying our memories onto a digital medium becomes a true reality. It’s a fantasy that I daydream about every once in a while.
